Back in March 2020 our Nottingham based reptile shop closed its doors to the public and we directed in store customers to our partners “Medusa Exotics” who have traded throughout the pandemic from a small high-street store.
There were several reasons for doing this, but primarily it allowed us to increase our home delivery capacity during the pandemic whilst minimising the risk of infection at work for warehouse staff by ensuring maximum distancing and limited access to the warehouse.
The dedicated warehouse for online orders has helped us improve our stock levels, extend our range and despatch times so we decided to make that permanent by moving this side of the business to a brand new, dedicated warehouse.
Medusa Exotics have done a wonderful job throughout the pandemic serving our local customers, but like most high street stores, it faced the usual challenges of being limited for space and parking outside the store. Thus, the idea was born for Medusa Exotics to move into our old site, a 3000sq.ft facility with parking at the door to really help them expand and offer more to our local customers. For customers used to the shopping experience previously offered in store by Internet Reptile, you can rest assured that the same format will be followed by Medusa Exotics now they have moved. We will also be combining both teams of staff to create a familiar instore experience no matter where you shopped in the past. They are operating in a spacious, well ventilated, covid secure environment meaning you can shop with confidence in store.
The store is open now at 10 Clarke Road, Nottingham, NG2 3JJ and has a dedicated website at www.medusaexotics.co.uk where you can see live online stock levels 24/7. You can visit 7 days a week and choose from a huge range of reptile supplies, livefood, frozen food and livestock.
