The following terms and conditions apply to all orders howsoever placed with Internet Reptile.  Internet Reptile is the trading name of this website and is hereafter refered to as "we" or "us".  The customer are hereafter refered to as "you".

The agreement between you and us.

• By placing an order on our website you make an offer to purchase the goods ordered, we accept this offer by dispatching the goods to you and at this point a contract for sale is formed for the goods dispatched.
• In the event that an item is out of stock we will contact you promptly.  We will usually be able to offer an alternative product or estimated arrival date, this will allow you to choose how to proceed.
• All contracts for sale are goverened by the Law of England and Wales and any disputes will be exlcusively within the jurisdiction of English Law.

Cancelling your order (Before Dispatch)

• You may cancel any order before the time it is dispatched by us (i.e. packed and posted/collected, as opposed to the time the order status is updated on our system), cancellation will be confirmed by email or telephone depending on the cancellation method.
• Likewise we reserve the right to cancel any order or part of an order before dispatch as no contract has been formed at this time.

Change of mind cancellations (After Dispatch)

• After dispatch you may cancel your order within 7 working days of receipt under under the DSA.  To take advantage of this you must comply and read the following;
  • We must be informed within these 7 days that you wish to return a product and obtain an authorisation for the return.
  • The goods returned to us must be unused, pristine and unopened. 
  • Perishable goods (e.g. insects or frozen foods) are exempt and cannot be returned
  • Goods made specially to order cannot be returned
  • The cost of the return is strictly at your expense and cannot be refunded.
  • We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage in transit, accordingly we strongly recommend the use of a trackable delivery method with postal insurance where necessary. 
• We are able to arrange a courier to collect your items.  The cost of this service is £7.99 which will be deducted from the refund given.
• The complete order must be returned, this includes any accessories or free gifts that were part of the order as well as all packaging etc.

Returning faulty items

• Please see our returns page for full details.
• Faulty items may only be returned to us with prior authorisation. 
• Postage costs must be bourne by the customer unless arranged otherwise (for items that are reported faulty within 28 days of purchase we will refund the cost of return postage at an agreed rate, normally no more then the cost of recorded first class post).
• In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

Live & Frozen Food Specific Terms

• We accept no responsibily for any harm caused to, but not limited to, people, animals or property by any of the products supplied by us.
• You agree to store and use all livefoods appropriately and with the exception of those livefoods supplied in plastic ventilated tubs, you agree to transfer all livefoods to appropriate and secure holding tanks
• It is an inherant danger that other organisms may be present in or on any food items; we accept no liabilty for any such presence or harm caused as a result of such presence.
• Sizes and quanities are guides as some items are measured/counted by volume or weight and natural variation in size will effect the quantity packed. 
• We offer a "live arrival guarantee" for insect orders we dispatch on Monday-Thursday.  If you order after 12noon on a Thursday but before 12noon on a Friday you are consenting to your order being sent at your own risk should it not arrive until the following week. 
• If there are any issues with your order we MUST be notified within 24 hours of receipt without exception.

General

• All items sold on our website come with a manufacturers warranty where applicable.  We will endeavour to support and assist you making use of these warranties, but cannot be held responsible for any problems arising as a result of purchasing a product from our website.
• We accept no liabilty for loss or damage howsoever caused by the use of our website or the purchase of products from it.
• Whilst every endeavour is made to ensure product descriptons are factually accurate, the information offered on this website is for guidance only, please always seek the advice of an independant expert and conduct thorough research before using any product with your own animals (Why?.. We offer hundreds of products, some of which may be entirely safe for some applications but not others, we consider there to be no substitute for research with all exotic pets).

Delivery

• A guide to current dispatch times can be found on the delivery page of this website.  Whilst our every endeavour is made to meet these times please note that they are subject to stock availability and during busy periods such as extended bank holiday periods such as Easter or Christmas variation may apply to ensure the safety of your products as well as allowing us to deal with demand.
• A guide to current delivery times can be found on the delivery page of this website.  Please note that as with any ordern these are only guidelines as delivery times are subject to third party carrying companies.
• We are not liable for late deliveries or any circumstances flowing from late or missing deliveries.  We would always advise that suitable contingency plans are put in place to safeguard your animals wellbeing in any circumstances.  This is particularly important with food products, in adverse weather conditions or when other issues are likely to affect delivery (such as bank holiday periods)
• OUR PRICES AND PRODUCTS ARE ONLY VALID AND AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS LIVING IN THE UK.  SOME ORDERS MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE TO CERTAIN LOCATIONS WHERE OUR COURIERS APPLY SURCHARGES.  THESE INCLUDE (BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO) NORTHERN IRELAND, SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS AND OTHER OFFSHORE DESTINATIONS.
