About Mini Mealworms

Mini Mealworms are simply small standard mealworms but only partially grown and sold at 10-15mm.  

Mealworms are the larvea of the darkling beetle (Tenebrio Molitor) and make a remarkably versitite foodsource for a wide variety of animals.   They are particularly suited to garden birds and many lizard species.  

Storage & Use

All mealworms can simply be kept in a fridge with minimal care for several weeks and removed as and when needed.  In these cold conditions they will enter a dormant state and require minimal care.  

We recommend gut loading this food if used for reptiles to boost nutritional content.  Many commercial diets are available specially for this purpose (such as bug grub or Komodo Insect Enhancing Formula) so please ensure your animals get the nutrition they deserve.
