About Waxworms

Waxworms are the larvea of the wax moth and are available in standard size only (approx 15-20mm). 

Live waxworms have been raised on a nutritious diet and are suitable for lizards, aviary or wild birds.  Please note they do have a high fat content so please use accordingly, they are not suitable as a staple diet for lizards but are a great treat.

Storage & Use

Wax worms are specially treated using a completely natural process which inhibits pupation and aids storage. They can be kept in the tubs they come in, in a cool part of the fridge (e.g. door or salad drawer) and will tend to live several weeks in these conditions.  They can then simply be removed for feeding to your animals when required, they require no additional food or water.
