About Silent Brown Crickets

Silent Brown Crickets are our crickets of choice at Internet Reptile.  They are a big healthy cricket species which travels well in the post and seems to be adored by many of the animals that eat them.  They are commonly used a a staple livefood diet for many insect eating lizards and other exotics. 

TIP:  Contrary to the name they aren't actually "silent", rather much quieter then the banded browns or black crickets that we sell.  

Storage & Use

Crickets can be kept in plastic tubs but we always recommend they are both gutloaded and cared for well.  It is often easiest to keep crickets in a Lucky Kricket Keeper which allows fresh foods to be offered and also ease of transferring them from storage to your animals enclousures with minimal escapees.  Please see our livefood care guides for more comprehensive information about cricket care.
